CafePress Welcome Imagekind To The Family w/ FAQ

July 8th, 2008

… and thankfully provides a FAQ.

Why Imagekind?

Imagekind is similar to CafePress in many ways. Imagekind is a user generated ecommerce site, has a great reputation with their Community and the largest selection of framing and canvas options in the business. We see them as the “best in breed” team focused on Art and we wanted to partner with the best.

Will CafePress and Imagekind retain their own websites or will it be combined?

There are no immediate plans for integration of the CafePress and Imagekind websites. Through this acquisition, Imagekind is a subsidiary of CafePress and will operate as two separate websites.

Does this mean CafePress will now offer fine art prints?

Not in the immediate future.

My reaction:

$15 million for what? No immediate plans for integration?  No fine art prints at CafePress? I’m bemused.  Although, they say “no immediate plans”, it will have to come - won’t it?

Imagekind Confirm…

CafePress have been striving to be more upscale in recent years, which I feel Imagekind most definately are.  Their site leans towards it, the calibre […]

Our friends at T-Shirt Talk have reviewed the packaging and print quality of a recent Zazzle order.
T-Shirt Talk were rather dissapointed at their “5-star” purchase.
“The shirt itself was nice and fairly thick but unfortunately the print was a complete disappointment… If this shirt was $12 I would be disappointed but not as disappointed as I […]

Listen to a Zazzle Customer Service Call

I was just listening to this rather, um, what shall I say, rather uncomfortable telephone conversion between a Zazzle shop keeper and one of their Customer Service Reps.
The conversation is about the fact that one chap has had his t-shirt pulled down because it contains the words “Austism Speaks”, a registered trademark of Austism Speaks, […]
